joyeux Noël, Yvette! loove the pictures! especially the top one, when i was little we always got these small figures from somewhere and built a little "hang đá" (stone cave = direct translation, place where Jesus was born, though now that i rethink, wasn't he born in a barn? :-) ).
Dear Thadieu(now I know the meaning and good spelling or your name, sorry for the many times I wrote it badly) the top one is taken at Marseille 'santons'(that is the provençal name for the little clay figures) fair which this winter takes place at the end of the main avenue leading to the Vieux Port. It is possible to buy the clay ones and decorate them. (My grandaughters like choosing one and paint it each year when they arrive in Provence before Christmas. Perhaps in Vietnam some religious folks got them from France to celebrate Christmas?(like in Provence!). Have a nice rest! Hope you enjoyed Tosca! (we have no access to BBC TV!)
@Willym, thank you! My best wishes to you, Laurent and the little ones ...I keep forgetting when I stop by your shores that now you are far away. I hope it is not too cold...
Christmas has arrived in your part of the world so I can wish you a glorious and happy Christmastide. Joyeux Noël
