Interlude: new Dvd, a very precious one !

Not long ago,  I noticed Anja Harteros, so far,  did not have a lot of cds and dvds on her discography, and yet she has been singing new roles every year and has had recitals all over the world but recently almost centered in Germany (and Paris where I had the great joy to see her in concert).
I even got rather annoyed when I saw that another soprano used to mediatic hype and bling bling sang the complete Four last songs  for the first time and had a cd released some months later of that unique concert....
This is not the case for Anja Harteros who has had already a cd released from a live performance conducted by Mariss Jansons with the Bavarian Radio  Symphony Orchestra. (August 2010).
This season,  Anja Harteros sang this major XXth century work several times in recital (Strauss 's celebration ).  I was able to listen to one concert on the  radio and enjoyed her phrasing, her soaring voice and the way she let it float above the orchestra, always on pitch and with lots of colours according to the text she understands deeply. I found this recital much more moving than the Mariss Jansons one. I think she has grown in these songs, having sung them regularly for some years.
It is the live recording of a concert  conducted by Christian Thielemann with  the Dresden Staatskapelle which is released in  a  Dvd. A precious New year present indeed!
My friend in Munich who knows Anja Harteros quite well made me notice the Haute Couture black dress worn by  Mrs Harteros for this concert, signed Valentino. (It suits her so well for this occasion).
