April in Paris...2016.(I)

Discovery of a new area, between the two main stations, Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est, a colourful and busy place where walls speak for what is being lived aroundhere now:
Distress, dole, despair, a kind of 'no-future' persistent taste which is spreading all over us really.
And yet Paris has also the splendid looks it  has always had, mainly in its architecture even in rough places like this Faubourg Saint-Denis which is so attractive with lots of exotic fruit shops.
It is like touring the world in one street.

I moved to this side of Paris because I was due to La Philarmonie on the 19th for the Gurre Lieder, and I did not want  to cross Paris on the tube at night to join my usual hotel next to Gare de Lyon.
Changing places is always good!
''April in Paris this new way, means strolling along Les Buttes Chaumont.
Japanese cherry trees in full bloom... and romantic Alpen sceneries..
Quite a contrast with the streets around the two railway-stations.
