Christmas cactus(es?) on my side of the world.

On my way to Alcina tonight, to see precisely these fantastic singers Smorg illustrated in this poetic upload I am borrowing again.
I learnt through Willym that these quiet succulent plants were called 'Christmas cactus'. Mine are in a rather cold spot now, they stay there all year round and they are also very faithful. I might get a small one to try another range of colour.
To me they look like birds!
They might sing...

  1. Your Christmas cactus is going wonderful - they love the cold! Lovely photos of one of my favourite gardens in Lazio - D'Este.

One of first recordings was the Sutherland-Berganaza Alcina and then I had the privilege of seeing Berganza sing Ruggerio at Aix many, many years ago.

I envy you seeing it with such a remarkable cast.

Enoy and let us know all about it.
