Could I miss this date?
I am having some drawbacks with my Mac and it will take some time to be fixed;here I am not on mine. To celebrate Maria Callas I revisited you tube and found a treasure to be shared by all Maria's faithful followers.

I have never been a fan of Callas - something in the voice does not sit comfortably with me, but I acknowledge that she was a supreme artist, a hypnotic personality and still has a huge following. The link is a valuable resource - thank you!
ReplyDeleteI would have like to see her live. I am deeply fond of her voice and musicality, for me she is not a soprano, she is "special". When I feel low I go to her cds to feel better... or worse! It is part of the therapy! But I understand your point of view on not agreeing with her voice, she herself had things to say about its rebellious character.
