Rodrigo's mentor: Mozart ...in the jungle?

I am a huge fan... for all sorts of reasons: love of classical music, love of musicians, and passion for eccentric characters and their seductive powers!
Of course I fell for Rodrigo, his Mexican accent, his looks, at first sight, in the very first episode! Then I got under the charm of Hailey's creaky voice. By now having followed season 3, I am completely conquered by Gloria's tremedous energy and terrible adjusted dresses revealing her Broadway looks for ever!
I wish the entire world to be able to watch these episodes and be under the huge charms of these stories dealing with music and  passion in life. It is a tremendous way of getting away from daily routine and troubles of the world we live in and fancy solutions and humanity in Music, classical and electronic even!
The vision of Monica Bellucci, ( as an unpredictable Diva reminding me of our immense Angela G), joining Placido Domingo on the Grand Canal is  an unforgettable one!
Here is the copy of the Sony soundtrack of season  3 where  we know everything about the splendid music played, the duet 'La ci darem la mano' is sung by Placido the Great and one of his best friends singer, Ana Maria Martinez.
Of course Mozart, young Mozart is in Maestro's Rodrigo's heart and soul and when he has private conversations with him it is always witty and moving. In season 3 even Tchailovsky came to talk to Rodrigo and Nannerl also gave Hailey a  pep talk about her future... these moments are delightful.
Considering what Mozart went through in his short life I do not think the present 'jungle' seen through  the life of this New York orchestra and musicians is worse than his 18th century jungle..At least the Venitian episodes made me dream !
All we have to do now is to keep our fingers crossed for Season 4...

HERE IS A PRESS RELEASE ABOUT IT ALL:

JUNGLE Season 3 - Original Amazon Series Soundtrack

Sony Classical Presents MOZART IN THE JUNGLE Season 3 - Original Amazon Series Soundtrack Sony Classical proudly announces the release of the MOZART IN THE JUNGLE Season 3 Soundtrack, available digitally and on CD on December 9, 2016. The album features original performances by soprano Ana Mara Martnez and beloved classical artists including Joshua Bell, Plcido Domingo, and Yo-Yo Ma.
Mozart in the Jungle is a half-hour comedic drama based on the critically acclaimed memoir Mozart in the Jungle: Sex, Drugs & Classical Music by Blair Tindall. The series draws back the curtain on the world of music, where artistic dedication and creativity collide with mind games, politicking and survival instincts.
The Golden Globe-winning series unveils what really happens behind the scenes at the symphony as new maestro Rodrigo (Gael Garcia Bernal) is stirring things up, maestro emeritus Thomas (Malcolm McDowell) tries to find his footing in his new roll, president of the symphony Gloria (Bernadette Peters) seeks to keep it running, while young oboist Hailey (Lola Kirke) hopes for her big chance. Each episode features both original and pre-existing performances of classical music alongside cameo appearances from artists including Gustavo Dudamel, Joshua Bell, Emanuel Ax, and Lang.
The third season of MOZART IN THE JUNGLE opens in the midst of a grand Italian adventure. Rodrigo takes on a brand-new artistic challenge: conducting the great opera diva Alessandra (Monica Bellucci) in her long-awaited return concert in Venice, Italy. He's swept up in the city, communing with its rich musical history as Alessandra pulls him into a passionate collaboration that quickly becomes operatic in its own right. Hailey travels across Europe with the Andrew Walsh Ensemble, finding it's not everything that she'd hoped but discovering a passion for conducting along the way. During the months since the lockout, the symphony has been torn apart. Many of the players can't be in the same room as each other and tense negotiations have become personal for Cynthia and Gloria. The musicians are challenged to become individuals again, confronting life without their orchestra family at the center. This season will feature cameo appearances from Joshua Bell, Plcido Domingo and Nico Muhly.
The operatic overtones of this season are mirrored on the soundtrack, with the spotlight shining on soprano Ana MarA Martinez. She performs several tracks on the soundtrack including a duet with Plcido Domingo on "La ci darem la mano" from Mozart's Don Giovanni.
Grammy Award winner Ana Mara Martnez is considered to be one of the foremost sopranos of her time, with an international career that spans the world's most important opera houses and concert halls. With a repertoire that encompasses opera's most intriguing and diverse leading ladies, she engages her audiences season after season with signature roles, spellbinding debuts, and a myriad of captivating recordings.Opera News' cover story on Ms. Martnez in October 2014 declared that her "soprano harks back to the golden age. Her range is even, from a dusky chest-voice through a claret-colored middle and up to radiant top, and is impressive in its quiet moments as it is at full power." Leading roles for the soprano during the 2016-2017 season include Marguerite in Faust with Houston Grand Opera, a role debut as Tatyana in Eugene Onegin with Lyric Opera of Chicago, as well as Cio San in Madame Butterfly with Royal Opera House Covent Garden and Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni with San Francisco Opera. She recently joined star tenor Andrea Bocelli on a multi-city tour.
