War requiem B Britten

Today six europeans out of ten did not bother to go to the polls.
> It is distressing to see that some far-right wing groups increased their votes in three countries. In nearly all the twenty seven countries the left wing groups lost votes. Or may be this is linked to the abstentionists, people do not believe in this time of crisis that the European Parliament will find solutions to their problems in their own countries. Yesterday France celebrated D-Day. It was fantastic to see President Obama, that is a strong sign to the world and gives hope.
> Europe needs hope too and somehow left-wing groups don't have the reassuring answers to this crisis. A threat really.
> If I compare this period to another one, the thirties, and if I find similarities, then I feel terribly sad. While watching the ceremonies in Normandy last night,I thought about the ones who were committed to pacifism.
> I have always admired them. And Europe at least is for sure a pacific construction, which is really a capitalist answer.
> My admiration for this musician, Benjamin Britten, this document from YT, showing what happened and will never happen again in Europe. Let's hope....
