Landmark-II-Simon Keenlyside: Song 6, Le papillon et la fleur.

Le papillon et la fleur Victor Hugo- Gabriel Fauré.
It was sung with so much light detached irony, so beautifully phrased without exaggerating the French pronounciation!
This is what I will remember, through Victor Hugo's poem, the subtle and delicate fun of a very elegant singer whose voice is really trained to rich and refined colours.
And this is my favourite melody , because I do not feel like having too much weight on my soul and mind at the moment! A witty discourse is what I enjoy, the days are still rather short and very cold and sometimes not that fun to go through.
So why not indulge in a light flirtation like these two, about basic tendancies: sedentarism and nomadism. At some point I chose nomadism, and then I had to settle.

"Going for a swim Old girl?"

Last sunday morning, freezing and sunny, before going to Salle Pleyel.
