The best ones, who share and give so much on opera stages, seem to be more vulnerable and also more sincere. Natalie Dessay did not hide her vocal problems twice and Rolando Villazon this year faced a similar vocal problem, keeping in touch with his fans through his site. It was reassuring to have news as we all had plans to see him in recitals he had to cancel and of course we worried a lot about him.
This is his birthday, and I do hope he will be back in the best possible vocal and health conditions. All my best wishes for a fantastic come back on stage!

(The ITV episode is now over so I feel better about it! May be, one day he will make some jokes about it, explain it was his final therapy to get ready for batttle! He is sure to have good and funny reasons, and I will then understand. Meanwhile I am expecting to see him in April, twice, in Paris, then in June in Berlin).
