Song for a dream: José Van Dam and Duparc"le manoir de Rosemonde".Song 11.

Le Manoir de Rosemonde
Poem by Robert de Bonnières (1850-1905).
The passionate lover will never meet his love in this blue fairy tale mansion.
And the piano will express two contrastive moments, with repetitive motives running throughout the melody.
Rolando Villazon will express it with the passionate legato I know he has and I am really expecting a very moving evening from both artists.
Will I be able to make it? There are strong railway strikes in the South where I am and may be I will spend all saturday trying to catch a train to Paris.
I cannot blame the workers because they are facing heavy cuts and shortage.
It will be even more enjoyable if it is harder for me to get there.
Hélène Grimaud impressed me a lot when she performed Rachmaninov for the first time the way she did. She was so young! And such a brilliant performer...
